The Florida Marlins did not score from the third inning on, but the damage they did in their first two at-bats was enough.

Mike Stanton hit a grand slam and the Marlins scored all of their runs in the first two innings in a 7-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday in the opener of an all-Florida interleague series.

The Rays struck for an early lead as Ben Zobrist had a two-run double in the top of the first to make it 2-0. But the lead was short-lived.

Stanton connected for his first career home run off Tampa's struggling starter Matt Garza to give the Marlins a 5-2 lead. Florida added two more runs in the second on RBI singles by Hanley Ramirez and Dan Uggla.

Garza (7-5) got tagged with the loss, allowing seven runs and seven hits in 1 1/3 innings. He walked three and struck out two and needed 71 pitches to retire four batters.

Nate Robertson (5-5) got the win, giving up three runs and five hits in six innings. Leo Nunez worked a perfect ninth to pick up his 14th save.
