White Sox 19, Rangers 2: Kevin Youkilis, Adam Dunn and Alex Rios homered in the first inning as host Chicago battered Roy Oswalt en route to its fifth win in seven games.

A.J. Pierzynski capped a nine-run fifth with a three-run blast and Chris Sale tossed 7 1/3 superb innings for the White Sox, who collected 21 hits while limiting the Rangers to seven.

Chicago wasted little time getting to Oswalt (2-1) as Alejandro De Aza led off the first with a single and Youkilis belted an 0-1 pitch over the wall in left for his first homer in eight games with the White Sox. Dunn followed with his 25th blast and Rios added his 11th two batters later for a 4-0 lead.

Youkilis delivered the first of three consecutive run-scoring hits in the second. Alexei Ramirez ignited the fifth-inning uprising with a two-run single. Oswalt exited after facing two more batters and ended the night having surrendered 11 runs - nine earned - on 13 hits in 4 2/3 frames.

It was the second straight rough outing for Oswalt after a strong season debut against Colorado on June 22. The veteran yielded five runs and 13 hits over six innings against Detroit last Wednesday but notched the win in a 13-9 triumph.

Yoshinori Tateyama allowed five runs while retiring just one of the seven batters he faced and Justin Grimm gave up three runs in three innings, including two on wild pitches.

Sale (10-2) posted his seventh consecutive victory, allowing one run and five hits with one walk and four strikeouts. The left-hander has given up two runs or fewer in 11 of his 15 starts this year.

Elvis Andrus hit a two-run double for the Rangers, who have lost two straight following a five-game win streak.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Rios and Dayan Viciedo recorded two hits apiece during Chicago's nine-run fifth inning. ... Four White Sox players registered three hits and four scored three runs. Rios and Youkilis each did both. ... Dunn tied Texas' Josh Hamilton for second in the majors in home runs. They trail Toronto's Jose Bautista by two. ... Rangers LHP Derek Holland, who is on the 15-day disabled list with shoulder fatigue, could return Saturday. Holland has not pitched since June 5.
