Mets 5, Phillies 4 (7): David Wright and Daniel Murphy each homered as visiting New York edged Philadelphia when the game was called because of rain in the seventh inning.

Wright homered for the second straight game for New York, which won for the sixth time in its last nine contests. Dillon Gee (12-10) yielded four runs over six frames and was credited with his third career complete game when the game was called after a one-hour, 28-minute delay.

The Mets broke a 1-1 tie in the sixth when Murphy hit a leadoff homer off Tyler Cloyd (2-6), who was pulled after allowing Juan Lagares’ two-run triple to deep center field. Travis d'Arnaud capped the four-run uprising with a run-scoring double off Ethan Martin.

Philadelphia began the bottom half with three consecutive doubles, including one by Jimmy Rollins that scored two runs and cut the deficit to 5-2. Rollins later scored on Carlos Ruiz’s groundout and Chase Utley came home on a wild pitch before Gee retired Domonic Brown and Darin Ruf to end the inning.

Wright and d'Arnaud had two hits apiece for the Mets, who drew even in the season series at 9-9 and pulled within one game of a tie with Philadelphia for third place in the National League East.
