Dane Myers and Jakob Marsee each homered during a three-run ninth inning that allowed the visiting Miami Marlins to avoid a three-game sweep by earning a come-from-behind 5-3 victory over the Boston Red Sox on Sunday.

Miami trailed 3-2 entering the ninth, but Myers led off the inning with a game-tying home run against Greg Weissert (4-4). Marsee hit a two-run home run against Steven Matz later in the inning that handed the Marlins a two-run lead.

Boston had two runners on with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, but Carlos Narvaez flied out to right against Anthony Bender to end the game.

Tyler Phillips (2-1) collected the win for pitching a scoreless eighth. Bender picked up his fourth save.

Miami also received a solo home run from Eric Wagaman.

Wilyer Abreu hit a two-run home run for the Red Sox, who beat the Marlins 2-1 Friday night and 7-5 Saturday. The victory ended Miami's three-game losing streak.

Abreu's home run, his 22nd of the season, came against Miami starter Janson Junk with two outs in the fourth inning. Jarren Duran, who drew a one-out walk, also scored on the homer, which gave Boston the lead after Wagaman's early solo shot.

Junk went seven innings, striking out six while allowing six hits, three runs and a walk.

Abreu collected two hits and scored twice, but left the game with an apparent leg injury after he scored on a sacrifice fly in the seventh.

Boston starter Garrett Crochet held Miami to a run on three hits in seven innings. He struck out eight and walked one.

Junk matched his career-high by going seven innings. He allowed three runs on six hits, struck out six and walked one.

Abreu's home run handed Boston a 2-1 lead in the fourth. Myers had the ball in his glove, but it popped out and went over the right-field wall and into the Red Sox bullpen.

Boston stretched its lead to 3-1 in the seventh when Abraham Toro's sacrifice fly allowed Abreu to score.

Xavier Edwards scored on a two-out single by Hicks to make it 3-2 in the eighth.
