BUCKS 113, PISTONS 97: Drew Gooden scored 26 points and visiting Milwaukee remained in the Eastern Conference playoff race with a crucial win.

The Bucks, who are ninth in the East, trail Philadelphia and New York by two games in the race for the conference's final playoff spot. Milwaukee gained a game on the 76ers, who lost to New Jersey, while the Knicks defeated Washington. All three teams have seven games remaining.

Brandon Jennings scored 20 points and had 10 assists while Monta Ellis added 18 points. Milwaukee's starters combined for 94 points.

Brandon Knight netted 25 points to lead Detroit, which has lost four of five. Ben Gordon scored 24 points while Greg Monroe added 16 points and 10 rebounds

Milwaukee, which bounced back from a tough loss at home to New York on Wednesday, used a 26-9 run in the third quarter to break open a close game. Gooden scored eight points while Brandon Jennings hit two 3-pointers to lead the spurt.

Gooden, who was limited to five minutes against the Knicks because of a sore back, was 12-of-18 from the field, and had five rebounds and eight assists

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Bucks host Indiana, which is third in the East, on Saturday. ... Carlos Delfino and Ersan Ilyasova, Milwaukee's other starters, scored 16 and 14 points, respectively. ... Detroit had its three-game home winning streak snapped.
