Clemson used a fast start to stay on its recent roll. Demontes Stitt scored 16 points and the Tigers will get back into Atlantic Coast Conference play on a hot streak after a 69-54 victory over Citadel in a non-conference matchup on Sunday.
Clemson (11-4, 0-1 ACC) has won six straight since a three-game losing skid. The Tigers kept their win streak intact with a quick start against the Bulldogs.
The Tigers led 34-19 at the half as they scored 12 points off of nine turnovers by the Citadel in the opening 20 minutes. Jerai Grant scored seven points and had four blocks in the first half.
Stitt hit a pair of three-pointers and was 6-of-7 from the line while Grant finished with 13 points, seven rebounds and seven blocked shots.
Zach Urbanus scored 17 points and Mike Groselle had 14 points and 10 rebounds for The Citadel (5-9, 1-1 Southern), which has lost four of its last six games.
