Doug McDermott scored 25 points and No. 22 Creighton rallied from a 17-point deficit in the first half to stay undefeated in an 85-83 win over host San Diego State on Wednesday night.

Ethan Wragge's 3-pointer with 3:41 remaining broke a 69-all tie and gave the Bluejays (6-0) the lead for good. San Diego (7-2) got within 82-81, but Wragge's basket pushed the lead back to three points. Xavier Thames hit two free throws with seven seconds left to make it an 84-83 game.

Creighton's Gregory Echenique was fouled with five seconds remaining. He made the first free throw, but grabbed the loose ball after missing the second and called timeout. Creighton inbounded the ball and the clock ran out.

Wragge scored 19 points while Antoine Young had 18 for the Bluejays. Thames led the Aztecs with 21 points while Jamaal Franklin added 19.

San Diego State scored the game's first six points and built the lead throughout the first half. The Aztecs took a 33-16 lead with 5:55 remaining before Creighton finished the half on a 19-6 run to trail 39-35 at halftime

Young's 3-pointer gave the Bluejays their first lead with 6:41 remaining.
