Charlie Moore hit a decisive 3-point shot with 34 seconds remaining in the second half, lifting DePaul to a 72-67 victory over Boston College on Saturday afternoon in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

Moore finished with 24 points and fellow starters Romeo Weems (17 points), Paul Reed (11) and Jaylen Butz (11) also scored in double figures for the Blue Demons (6-0).

Derryck Thornton finished with 16 points and Julian Rishwain came off the bench to lift Boston College, scoring 15 points on 4-of-7 shooting from 3-point range for the Eagles (4-2).

DePaul led 59-50 with 5:50 left in the second half before Boston College made one more push and got within one point at 65-64 in the final minute. Moore drained a 3-pointer to give DePaul a lead it would not relinquish.

Boston College held a 25-23 lead with 4:06 left in the first half. DePaul kept the Eagles to three points over the next 5:14 to take a 32-28 advantage with 18:52 left in regulation. A few minutes later, DePaul was clinging to that narrow advantage when the Blue Demons created a working margin.

DePaul led 37-34 with 17:34 remaining. The Blue Demons then held Boston College scoreless for the next 3:42 to claim an 11-point lead with 13:52 to go. The 8-0 run began with a jumper by Jalen Coleman-Lands and concluded with a layup by Moore.

The Eagles still trailed by 13 at 54-41 with 11:09 remaining, but then went on a 9-0 run to trim their deficit with 8:31 to go. Boston College's Jay Heath made a 3-pointer to pull the home team within four points.

The Blue Demons responded by pushing their lead to 59-50 before Boston College rallied and set up the tense final minute in which Moore's 3-pointer represented the dagger for the visitors.
