Brady Manek scored 29 points to lead Oklahoma to a 105-66 win over Texas-San Antonio at home Thursday night.
It was the Sooners' season opener, after their first three games -- including their originally scheduled game eight days earlier against the Roadrunners -- was wiped out due to COVID-19 issues with the team.
Manek hit a career-high eight 3-pointers, including two during an early 19-0 run that put Oklahoma firmly in control.
The Roadrunners were staying close with the Sooners, leading 7-6, when Manek's first 3-pointer of the game kicked off the big run, which lasted more than five minutes.
Manek was 8 of 11 from behind the arc and 9 of 15 from the floor overall. Manek had twice before hit seven 3-pointers, both last season.
Oklahoma shot 50 percent from the floor in the first half, scoring 51 points to lead by 23 at the break.
Oklahoma topped the 100-point mark on the night it honored Billy Tubbs, the longtime Sooners coach whose teams regularly scored in triple figures.
Tubbs died Nov. 1 at 85.
Sophomore De'Vion Harmon added 22 points for the Sooners (1-0), shooting 7 of 11 from the floor and adding five rebounds, four assists and two steals with no turnovers.
Oklahoma hit 17 3-pointers, including 12 in the second half.
Freshman Trey Phipps, whose father Conley played for Tubbs' Sooners in the mid-1980s, hit four 3-pointers in his collegiate debut.
Jhivvan Jackson led the Roadrunners (1-2) with 28 points. No other UTSA player scored more than nine points.
The Roadrunners were just 8 of 30 (26.7 percent) from behind the 3-point line and shot just 34.3 percent from the field.
It was Oklahoma's lone nonconference game before beginning Big 12 play Sunday at TCU, though the Sooners still have three nonconference games remaining on the schedule before beginning the bulk of conference play.
