Micah Potter supplied 13 points and seven rebounds while Jonathan Davis contributed 12 points and five rebounds for the Badgers (5-1).

Cameron Krutwig led Loyola-Chicago (3-1) with 19 points and five rebounds. Lucas Williamson added 15 points, but none of the other Ramblers had more than six points.

The score was tied at 33-all with 18 minutes to go. The Badgers then took a 10-point lead with an 11-1 spurt. Trice got it started with a jumper, Potter knocked down two 3-pointers during that span and Trevor Anderson made another after a Ramblers turnover.
Wisconsin soon reeled off 10 unanswered points to make it 54-36 with 11 minutes to go.
A Davison four-point play started that outburst. Davis, Anderson and Aleem Ford followed with layups.
The Ramblers cut the deficit to nine, 56-47, with eight minutes left on Keith Clemons' four-point play. They couldn't get any closer, as the Badgers maintained as much as a 14-point lead the remainder of the game.
The Badgers shot just 30.3 percent from the field in the first half but still led 31-26 at the break. Trice and Davison led the offense with seven points apiece, while Krutwig's eight points paced Loyola-Chicago. Wisconsin committed just two turnovers, while the visitors had eight giveaways.
Neither side led by more than five points in the last eight minutes of the half.
The Badgers were supposed to play Northern Iowa on Wednesday, but the Panthers paused all team activities due to COVID-19. The Badgers scheduled the game with Loyola-Chicago on Sunday.
