Kyle Lofton scored 23 points to help St. Bonaventure advance to the NCAA Tournament with a 74-65 win over VCU in the Atlantic 10 championship game on Sunday in Dayton, Ohio.
Osun Osunniyi collected 14 points and 12 rebounds and Dominick Welch added 13 points for the top-seeded Bonnies (16-4), who wrapped up their first Atlantic 10 tournament title since 2012.
Nah'Shon Hyland had 21 points to pace the second-seeded Rams (19-7), who were denied in their bid to win their first conference title since 2015.
