Junior quarterback Drew Lock set school records with seven touchdown passes and 521 passing yards as Missouri improved to 17-0 versus FCS teams with a 72-43 victory over Missouri State in Columbia, Mo., on Saturday in their first meeting since 1923.

The Tigers (1-0) also set a school record with 815 yards of offense, surpassing the previous mark of 744 set in a 69-0 victory over FCS member Western Illinois in 2011. Lock completed 21 of 34 passes with an interception.

Running back Damarea Crockett rushed 18 times for 202 yards and two touchdowns for Missouri. Wide receivers J'Mon Moore (four receptions for 187 yards) and Johnathon Johnson (five for 116) each caught two TD passes for the Tigers.

Quarterback Peyton Huslig was 24 of 35 for 353 yards with two touchdowns and an interception for the Bears (0-1). Running back Calan Crowder carried 11 times for 124 yards and two touchdowns, and wide receiver Malik Earl caught eight passes for 163 yards, including an 89-yard TD for Missouri State. The Bears finished with 492 total yards, but only 112 in the second half.

Missouri State led 21-20 after one quarter with the teams combining for 416 yards of total offense and the Bears owning an 11:31 to 3:29 edge in time of possession. Crowder rushed for 120 yards, including touchdown runs of 75 and 34 -- both on third down. Johnson caught a pair of TD passes in the opening quarter with his 65-yard score coming on the first play from scrimmage.

Lock threw three touchdown passes in the second quarter, including a pair of 50-yarders to Moore, and tied the school record with his fifth TD toss -- an 11-yarder to Jason Reese that gave Missouri a 34-28 edge. The Tigers led 48-35 at halftime after the teams racked up a combined 888 yards of total offense with Lock throwing for 393.

Crockett appeared to give the Tigers a 54-35 lead with a 75-yard touchdown run early in the third quarter, but was penalized 15 yards for unsportsmanlike conduct for diving into the end zone. Instead, Missouri settled for Tucker McCann's 35-yard field goal. Lock set the school record with his sixth TD pass -- a 27-yarder to tight end Albert Okwuegbunam with 3:56 left in the third to make it 58-35.
