Oilers 4, Avalanche 0: Devan Dubnyk made 36 saves while Sam Gagner and Magnus Paajarvi each recorded a goal and an assist as Edmonton completed its franchise-high nine-game road trip with its second straight victory.
Captain Shawn Horcoff and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins also scored while Taylor Hall and Ales Hemsky notched two assists apiece for the Oilers, who went 3-4-2 on their lengthy trek.
Dubnyk, who exited Sunday's triumph in Chicago with a neck injury, turned aside 13 shots in each of the first two periods and 10 in the third en route to his fifth career shutout and first this season.
Horcoff gave Dubnyk all the offensive support he needed with 8:40 remaining in the first period. After Colorado captain Gabriel Landeskog fell down, Horcoff pounced on a loose puck and beat Semyon Varlamov (27 saves) on a breakaway for his second goal in as many games since returning from a broken knuckle.
Gagner buried a rebound later in the session and Paajarvi batted his own rebound out of mid-air and past Varlamov in the second to make it 3-0. Nugent-Hopkins converted a power-play chance at 6:32 of the third to cap the scoring as the Avalanche had their five-game home winning streak snapped.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Horcoff's goal was the 158th of his career, moving him past Doug Weight for sole possession of ninth place on the franchise list. ... Colorado fell to 8-3-1 at home and was denied its first three-game winning streak. ... Avalanche RW PA Parenteau had his career-high point streak halted at six games.
