The Calgary Flames got points from 12 players and broke a four-game losing streak with a 5-4 win on Saturday over the host Pittsburgh Penguins.
Andrew Mangiapane, Michael Frolik, Austin Czarnik, Travis Hamonic and Sam Bennett scored, and Derek Ryan had three assists for Calgary, which held on after taking a 5-2 lead through two periods.
Goaltender Mike Smith stopped 34 of 38 Pittsburgh shots.
Evgeni Malkin had two goals and an assist, Sidney Crosby a goal and two assists and Jake Guentzel also scored for the Penguins, who had won two straight.
Pittsburgh's Phil Kessel had two assists, the first making him the 17th American player to reach 800 points.
After stopping 88 of 90 shots in the previous two games, Pittsburgh goalie Matt Murray gave up five goals on 24 shots before being pulled after two periods. Casey DeSmith relieved and stopped all seven shots he faced.
Mangiapane opened the scoring at 7:06 of the first when a bouncing shot went in off his skate.
Pittsburgh tied it at 17:41. Justin Schultz, who returned after missing 53 games because of a broken left leg, lofted a shot from the left point. Guentzel redirected the puck low and past Smith.
Frolik gave the Flames a 2-1 lead at 1:39 of the second when he got to a rebound and scored on a backhander.
Calgary struck again 1:33 later. After the Penguins turned the puck over in the neutral zone, Czarnik made it 3-1 with a knuckling shot from the top of the left circle.
Crosby closed it to 3-2 with his 25th goal, during a power play, at 6:52 of the second with a roofed severe-angle shot.
Hamonic's shot from the right-wing wall hit Guentzel's stick on its way past Murray to make it 4-2 at 16:02 of the second period.
With 1:29 left in the second, Bennett reached behind Murray to tuck the loose puck in for a power-play goal and 5-2 Flames lead.
Malkin scored a power-play goal off the rush at 5:42 of the third and another power-play goal at 14:41 to close it to 5-4.
