Auston Matthews scored in overtime and the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the visiting Winnipeg Jets 4-3 on Thursday night to end a three-game losing streak.
Matthews, who also had an assist, scored his league-leading 21st goal of the season 59 seconds into OT on a pass from Morgan Rielly.
Paul Stastny had tied the game for Winnipeg with the goaltender removed for an extra attacker, netting his eighth goal of the season at 17:34 of the third period.
The teams have split the first two games of a three-game series.
Mitchell Marner had a goal and an assist for Toronto. Ilya Mikheyev and William Nylander also scored for the Maple Leafs, and Rielly finished with two assists.
Nikolaj Ehlers scored two goals and had an assist for the Jets.
Toronto goaltender Frederik Andersen made 24 saves.
Connor Hellebuyck stopped 34 shots for Winnipeg in a spectacular effort.
The Jets took the lead at 16:19 of the first period with a goal by Ehlers on a shot from the left circle. Pierre-Luc Dubois stole the puck from Toronto defenseman Travis Dermott in the neutral zone and carried it into Maple Leafs territory before feeding Ehlers.
Marner tied the game at 3:14 of the second period with his 11th goal of the season, knocking in the rebound from TJ Brodie's shot.
Winnipeg regained the lead at 10:50 of the second on the 13th goal of the season by Ehlers, finishing a two-on-one break with Kyle Connor.
Nylander tied the game at 6:29 of the third period with his 11th goal, a one-timer from the right circle on a pass from John Tavares.
Mikheyev scored his fourth goal of the season at 12:39 from the slot to give the Maple Leafs the lead.
Stastny redirected a pass from Ehlers to tie the game.
The Jets were without defenseman Nathan Beaulieu (hand), who was placed on injured reserve after being injured on Tuesday. Defenseman Logan Stanley was promoted from the taxi squad.
