Warren Foegele scored twice, including a controversial go-ahead goal at 8:54 of the third period, as the Edmonton Oilers defeated the host Seattle Kraken 5-3 Saturday night.
Evan Bouchard and Colton Sceviour also scored, and Connor McDavid added an empty-netter for the Oilers, who won their second in a row following a six-game skid. Goaltender Stuart Skinner made 14 saves.
Leon Draisaitl had three assists to tie McDavid for the NHL's scoring lead with 49 points. McDavid had an assist in addition to his goal.
Ryan Donato, Jared McCann and Carson Soucy scored for Seattle, which lost its second in a row. Chris Driedger stopped 36 of 40 shots.
Foegele, getting a chance to play on the Oilers' top line because Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is in the NHL's coronavirus protocol, tied the score at 2-2 with a power-play goal late in the first period.
The winner came after Foegele set up at the top of the crease and redirected Bouchard's shot from the point. Driedger came up with the initial save but the puck bounced off Foegele's chest and into the net as he crashed into Driedger.
The tally was initially waved off for goaltender interference, but a challenge from assistant coach Glen Gulutzan, filling in for Dave Tippett while he's in the protocol, led to a video review that determined Kraken captain Mark Giordano had pushed Foegele into his own netminder.
The Kraken took a 2-0 lead in the opening half of the first period.
Donato put a wrist shot from the top of the right faceoff circle through a screen 4:18 into the first on Seattle's first shot of the game. McCann tallied at 9:07, beating Skinner from close range after taking a nifty pass from Jordan Eberle.
Bouchard scored at 13:05 to pull the Oilers within 2-1 on a slap shot from the right point and Foegele tied it at 17:08, converting a rebound of a Kailer Yamamoto shot.
The Oilers took a 3-2 lead at 12:52 of the second as Sceviour backhanded a rebound into the top of the net.
The Kraken tied it at 3-3 at 16:33 of the second, with Soucy scoring after a long rebound on a shot from the point.
