Jake DeBrusk scored a rebound goal with 17.6 seconds left in overtime as the Vancouver Canucks rallied for a 2-1 victory over the visiting San Jose Sharks on Monday night.

Brock Boeser fired a one-timer from the high slot that caromed off the glass behind the goal straight to DeBrusk stationed by the left side of the crease. DeBrusk then slid a shot between the pads of goalie Alexandar Georgiev for the game-winner.

Linus Karlsson also scored a goal and Nikita Tolopilo made 15 saves in his NHL debut for Vancouver (38-29-14, 90 points), which extended its home win streak against the Sharks to nine games.

Macklin Celebrini took over the rookie goal scoring lead with his 25th goal for San Jose (20-49-12, 52 points), moving one ahead of Philadelphia's Matvei Michkov. Georgiev finished with 35 saves for the Sharks, who lost their season-high 10th straight game (0-7-3). They opened the season with a nine-game skid (0-7-2).

Vancouver outshot the Sharks 12-3 during a scoreless first period, but Georgiev, trying for his first win since March 27 against the Toronto Maple Leafs, was up to the challenge. Georgiev was especially impressive during a four-minute Vancouver power play after Luca Cagnoni garnered a double minor for high-sticking Elias Pettersson, turning aside eight shots.

San Jose took a 1-0 lead at the 4:20 mark of the second period on a power-play goal by Celebrini. He fired a wrist shot from the middle of the right circle off the crossbar and in on the short side.

Vancouver tied it at 9:03 of the third period when Karlsson chipped in a rebound of a Teddy Blueger shot from the low slot.

The Canucks had a chance to take the lead a few minutes later when Blueger had a breakaway, but Georgiev made a left pad save on the backhand try.

It was the final road game of the season San Jose, which ends the season at home Wednesday against the Edmonton Oilers. The Sharks went 8-24-9 away from home, the fewest road wins in the league.
